Junior Business Analyst - Forensic (Fraud Investigations)

Deloitte is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Forensic Group within the Financial Advisory Services Department at the Kyiv office.

We help our clients identify and mitigate the risks of fraud, illegal actions and unethical behavior. Our team has experts who assess financial losses arising from misappropriation and waste of assets, as well as unprofitable purchases and sales. Our team implements risk management best practices that align with the goals and objectives of every company, regardless of industry or jurisdiction.

The role will involve:

• Review and analysis of financial and other information to identify potentially suspicious transactions;
• Review of supporting documentation for fraud and corruption indicators;
• Assisting in conducting interviews to gather information and clarify identified issues;
• Processing information through monitoring of international and Ukrainian public records and Internet sources. Basic assistance in business intelligence tasks;
• Maintaining and updating internal databases;
• Advise on strengthening internal and operating controls;
• Assist with report writing.

What we are searching for in the candidate:

• Higher education: /Economics/Legal/Accounting
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills
• Ability to process large amounts of financial and non-financial information in a short time period and make relevant conclusions;
• Solid understanding of corporate finance and financial statements
• Upper-Intermediate level of written and spoken English
• Advanced computer capabilities: Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple engagements
• A high degree of self-motivation and strong career aspirations
• Core accounting experience will an advantage
